I've been discussing this word a lot lately. It scares the heck out of me. So much power in one word. Do you think people realize the power?
Love is reckless; not reason.
Reason seeks a profit.
Love comes on strong,
consuming herself, unabashed.
Yet, in the midst of suffering,
Love proceeds like a millstone,
hard surfaced and straightforward.
Having died of self-interest,
she risks everything and asks for nothing.
Love gambles away every gift God bestows.
Without cause God gave us Being;
without cause, give it back again.

Love is a word with too much power
It can turn the best of relationships sour
Had it not been for love he would have stayed
Had it not been for love he wouldn't have run away
Now all I can do from day to day
Is stare at his window with nothing to say
And hope for a glimpse of what never could have been
He's still the best damned thing I've ever seen.

Wow Clay! Who knew?
I think we all have some love poems out there. I wrote a bunch in high school myself.
